MD Bayezid Islam is Lecturer of Educational Leadership and School Improvement at BRAC Institute of Educational Development (IED), BRAC University. He employs qualitative methodological approaches to explore how students in higher education from diverse backgrounds navigate their academic journeys and transition into careers. His interests extend to various aspects of international higher education, including mentorship, belonging, and the well-being of university students across fields, with an emphasis on equity, diversity, and social justice. In his multifaceted role, Mr. Islam has been teaching graduate courses, advising students, and managing educational projects at the Institute. He oversees the Community for Mentorship and Exchange of Information (CoMEIn)—a peer mentorship platform that fosters a supportive research environment for graduate students. Mr. Islam holds a Bachelor of Education and a Master of Education in Educational Administration and Leadership from the University of Dhaka. Before joining BRAC IED, he made significant contributions to a government-funded tracer study on TVET curriculum and employability. His experience with the BRAC Education Program (BEP) further enhanced his expertise in the educational sector.
