Brief Bio:

MD Bayezid Islam is Lecturer of Educational Leadership and School Improvement at BRAC Institute of Educational Development, BRAC University. He employs qualitative methodological approaches to explore how students in higher education from diverse backgrounds navigate their academic journeys and transition into careers. His research interests extend to various aspects of international higher education, including mentorship, belonging, and student wellbeing, with a particular emphasis on equity, diversity, and social justice. In his multifaceted role, Mr. Islam teaches graduate courses, advises students, and manages educational projects at the Institute. Prior to his tenure at BRAC IED, Mr. Islam contributed to a government research project focused on the TVET curriculum and employability. His valuable experience at the BRAC Education Program further enriched his professional expertise in the educational landscape. He earned his Bachelor of Education and a Master of Education degree, specializing in Educational Administration and Leadership from the Institute of Education and Research, University of Dhaka. He has published in Emerald Publishing, Apple Academic Press, and Teacher’s World: Journal of Education and Research.
