Brief Bio:

MD Bayezid Islam is Lecturer of Educational Leadership and School Improvement at BRAC IED, BRAC University. He employs qualitative methodologies to explore how undergraduate/graduate students from underserved communities navigate their academic journeys and transition into careers. His interests extend to various aspects of international higher education, including how faculty mentorship influences the academic trajectories of graduate and/or undergraduate students in STEM fields, with an emphasis on equity, diversity, and social justice. In his multifaceted role, Mr. Islam has been teaching graduate courses, advising students, and managing educational projects at the Institute since joining in 2022. He oversees the Community for Mentorship and Exchange of Information (CoMEIn)—a peer mentorship platform that fosters a supportive research environment for graduate students. Mr. Islam holds a Bachelor of Education and a Master of Education in Educational Administration and Leadership from the University of Dhaka. Before joining BRAC IED, he made significant contributions to a government-funded tracer study on TVET curriculum and employability. His experience with the BRAC Education Program (BEP) further enhanced his expertise in the educational sector.
