Brief Bio:

Nusrat Chowdhury is an accomplished educator with a diverse and dynamic career. She began her academic journey with a Bachelor's degree in Marketing from North South University, laying a strong foundation in strategic thinking and communication. Her passion for education led her to pursue a Masters in Education (M.Ed.) from BRAC University, where she honed her expertise in teaching and learning methodologies.Currently, she is teaching M.Ed at BRAC University and besides this, she also facilitates Short Courses like Learning through Play and Socio-Emotional Development through Play. Her professional path is equally rich, starting in the corporate world with a reputable bank in Bangladesh. However, her calling towards education became clear when she joined Teach for Bangladesh as a fellow, an experience that deepened her commitment to transformative education. Before joining Teach for Bangladesh, she started to teach in English Medium schools, gaining valuable insights into modern pedagogical approaches. In addition to her teaching role, she has taken on the significant task of training Government officials on Play-based pedagogy, contributing to innovative educational reforms. Her involvement with BRAC IED’s flagship project, Play to Learn, exemplifies her dedication to advancing early childhood education. Furthermore, her collaborations with global organizations like UNICEF and UNHCR in different projects reflect her broad impact, working to enhance educational opportunities for children in various contexts including the Rohingya Camp of Bangladesh.
