Brief Bio:

Zarrin Tasnim is an Early Childhood Development (ECD) specialist and a dedicated lecturer at BRAC Institute of Educational Development (BRAC IED), BRAC University. She is actively involved in teaching in the Master’s program in Early Childhood Development, as well as the Master of Education in School Improvement and Leadership. Zarrin holds a Master’s degree in Early Childhood Development from BRAC University and a Bachelor’s in Pharmaceutical Sciences from North South University. Zarrin has been involved in providing technical support in developing curriculum guidelines and parenting manual for BRAC PlayLabs in the Philippines. Her work has led her to conduct two impactful workshops in the Philippines in September 2024. Previously, she has provided similar support to the Ministry of Basic and Senior Secondary Education of Sierra Leone, where she conducted a curriculum development workshop for 3-5-year-old children and contributed in the development of the Teacher’s Guide as well as the parenting manual for 0-6-year-old children. Zarrin also works with the research team at BRAC IED, currently she is involved in a study assessing the demand of childcare in Bangladesh. Additionally, she has taught for the Global Education (GLOBALED) Program 2023 under the Open Society University Network and conducted classes for American University of Central Asia, Kyrgyz Republic. She also conducts certificate courses on ECD and has taught diverse groups, including participants from Bangladesh ECD Network, ECD professionals from Sierra Leone. In all her roles, Zarrin strives to empower educators and professionals to build strong foundations for children.
