Ferdousi Khanom is an accomplished professional with 24 years of experience in the field of Early Childhood Care and Development (ECCD). She currently serves as a Senior Lecturer and ECD Academic Lead at BRAC IED, BRAC University. Ms. Khanom was closely involved in designing and developing the first MSc. program in Early Childhood Development in Bangladesh offered by BRAC IED, BRAC University. She also serves as a faculty member of the American University of Central Asia (AUCA) in Kyrgyzstan, where designing an ECD course for the Master of Arts in Teaching program heavily included her involvement. She has led significant research initiatives in collaboration with the Frameworks Institute, World Bank, and Plan International Bangladesh and has published extensively on early childhood development and education. Her expertise also includes leading ECD Program, overseeing national and global partnership for ECD projects, and providing technical support to BRAC country teams in East Africa and Asia. Before joining BRAC IED, she served as the Outreach Project Manager of the Sisimpur Project at Nayantara Communications, the co-producer of Sesame Street, Bangladesh. She also worked as a Project Manager at Phulki, an NGO focused on women’s empowerment and child development, where she led various early childhood development (ECD) projects. Ms. Khanom holds a Master of Social Science in Sociology from the University of Dhaka and has excellent academic record.
