Brief Bio:

Mamunur Rashid is a seasoned educator who is currently employed for BRAC University. Prior to his current job as a senior lecturer, he worked with BRAC and BRAC University in various technical and managerial capacities as a development practitioner and researcher in Bangladesh. With over 19 years of experience in Bangladesh's education system, he has a thorough understanding of the country's policies and practices. He is well-versed in the role of non-state actors in Bangladeshi education and in the field of non-formal education. His expertise become more practical as a result of his mix of practitioner and academic expertise. His research focuses on reading motivation, second-chance education, inclusive education, and teacher education. He has years of experience in sexual and reproductive health education for adolescents, in addition to core education programs, and has experience creating and leading development initiatives using a rights-based strategy as well as a gender and culture-sensitive approach. In addition to his local impact, Mamunur has forged valuable international collaborations with institutions like the Netherlands' Maastricht School of Management (MSM), Radboud University, Share-Net International, and MDF Bangladesh and the Netherlands. He was mentored by the British Association for International and Comparative Education (BAICE) and served as a faculty mentor for the OSUN GlobalEd program at Central European University (CEU) in Hungary. Mamunur Rashid's dedication to educational excellence has been recognized through the prestigious Stipendium Hungaricum Scholarship, which he was awarded. Currently, he is pursuing his PhD research at the University of Szeged, Hungary.
