Brief Bio:

Farasha Khan is a Lecturer at the BRAC Institute for Educational Development (BRAC IED), BRAC University. She specializes in Early Childhood Development and her current roles include facilitating and coordinating coursework for BRAC IED’s Master of Science in Early Childhood Development, Master of Education in Educational Leadership and School Improvement, as well as short courses focused on early childhood education. Ms Khan has a proven track record in training government primary teachers' instructors in play-based pedagogy for the Government of Bangladesh's Pre-Primary Curriculum. Ms Khan’s research interests align with her professional experience. She is currently engaged in a prescriptive framing research project with FrameWorks Institute (USA) on early childhood development in Bangladesh. She is also involved in strategic planning of scaling up BRAC’s Childcare program. Ms Khan’s expertise is grounded in her decade long hands-on experience working with young children as an educator. Her academic focus areas include Play-based Pedagogy, Inclusive Education in the Early Years, School Readiness, and Community Engagement.
